Based on latest statistics, the count of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the number of men aged 100 or over has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the same timeframe, the count of women aged 100 or over nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to receive stories from individuals who have reached 100, their family or close ones, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s seismic events and changes.
